Houseperson @Woodlark Hotel Portland:
Ensure cleanliness of guestrooms, public areas, and back of house
Organize and maintain operating supplies and linens for daily use
Assist room attendants, manage linen and supply requests, and help with room stripping
Other duties as assigned
Room Attendant @Ace Hotel Portland or @Woodlark Hotel:
Maintain guest room cleanliness and comfort by restocking amenities, thorough cleaning, and bed making
Ensure timely response to guest requests, restocking supplies, and inspecting rooms for quality
Collaborate with team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, reporting any concerns to security
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Hotel housekeeping experience preferred
Combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively fulfill the requirements of this job description.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, leadership, and team members to their understanding (additional languages are encouraged).
Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution with superb time management skills.
Maintain complete knowledge of hotel culture, initiatives, services/features and hours of operation.
Ability to understand and acknowledge guests service needs & requests.
Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.
Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The typical environment is a busy hotel with variable room temperatures, sufficient lighting, and common office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions that include:
Standing continuously during your shift.
Lift/carry 10lbs (frequently) and up to 25lbs (occasionally).
Bend, squat, crawl and reach above shoulder level.
Use of dominant hand for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
Expose to variable temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.
